Adequate nourishment - necessary condition in the maintenance of health at the high functional level, in the rehabilitation and the restoration after prolonged stresses, physical loads and diseases, in the package of measures in preventive maintenance and recovery of practically any pathology. The balanced nourishment is individual; therefore the development of individual diet begins from the establishment of individual standards not only on the calories, the fats, the proteins and the carbohydrates, but also along the wider spectrum of nutrients. These standards depend on the sex, the age, a build, a way of life, specific features of the human organism, on the current state of his health. There is also many special features of individual nourishment, such, as food preferences and allergy, an individual comprehensibility, the special features of digestion and much other. For all these special features it is necessary to consider. The task of the forming of individual therapeutic and prophylactic diet substantially is complicated, when the designation of diet is produced on the basis of the requirements, dictated by the diseases existing in patient.

The satisfaction of the needs of organism for the nutrients not in the form of the additional method of special preparations, but by correct selection and moderate consumption of food products is reduced the danger both of the insufficient and luxury consumption of nutrients. In the case of the immoderate method the nutrients are capable of manifesting the increased toxicity.
